Brad Dufault

Strategy Guy

Brad oversees all Checkmate productions and accounts. He specializes in generating ideas, formulating strategies, and creating and implementing strategic communications plans for Checkmate's clients. Brad guides his clients through the entire process, ensuring they are targeting the right audience, with the right message, through the right medium. The founder and owner of Checkmate, Brad has a knack for hiring people who are way more talented than he is. He holds a degree in Communications from the Hugh Downs School of Communications at Arizona State University. When he isn't working, he enjoys golfing, attending concerts and sporting events, playing basketball until he throws his back out, and spending time with his friends and family.

Eddy Stahowiak

Art Guy

Eddy oversees all creative at Checkmate. An award-winning graphic artist, Eddy has managed numerous branding campaigns throughout the New England region. From concept to design to production, Eddy has experience in all facets of graphic design. Some of his past clients include, The Providence Bruins, Working Rhode Island, Prudential Gammons Realty, Narragansett Indian Tribe, The Beacon Mutual Insurance Company, and the Villager Publications. Eddy is a graduate of Rhode Island College in the area of Industrial Technology. Eddy is also a professional photographer and has a true passion for photography. Where do you think we got such great shots for this site?

Adam Wotherspoon

Web & Editing Guy

Adam handles everything web at Checkmate. He also does all of our video editing. Busy guy. Adam's web skills span across many coding languages from HTML to CSS to PHP to JQuery. He is also proficient in Photoshop, so he can make all those websites look real snazzy. He is also very hip on the social networking scene and spends most nights on Facebook, You Tube, and Twitter–so yeah, he's super cool! When Adam's not building websites, he is editing video. All of our commercials, videos and film are spliced together by Adam. He earned a degree in Communications from Northeastern University as well as graduating from Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts Advanced Web Design program. When Adam's not being a total geek in front of his computer, you can usually find him in 5 places; on a mountain, on a boat, at a rock concert, playing guitar, or...well I guess he'd be in front of his computer if he's not in those places.

Trevor Holden

Video Guy

Trevor handles everything on the moving image front. He has never met a camera system he does not like and currently is fascinated with everything HDSLR. He enjoys the constant challenge that he finds in the diverse and interesting spectrum of situations shooting for Checkmate produces, ranging from interviews to on the fly documentary, and even time lapse. Trevor graduated from the New York Film Academy and has a Bachelors in History as well as Film from Rhode Island College. When not shooting for Checkmate, Trevor can be found rock climbing, mountain biking, traveling to and from a coffee shop or perhaps shooting still photography which is another huge passion of his. Trevor is an avid blog reader and follows all of the latest geeky film and video news from idols such as Phillip Bloom, Vincent Laforet, Chase Jarvis, and Rodney Charters. God forbid an announcement of new technology misses his keen eyes and ears.
